David M. Stein

David M. Stein (b. Philadelphia, PA) received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Chicago, and a Masters in Fine Arts from the California College of the Arts.  He has had solo exhibitions in San Francisco, Boston, and Malmö, and has been included in group exhibitions internationally.  Stein received the Murphy Fellowship (2003), CCA All College Honors (2003), and was awarded residencies at the Bemis Center (2006) and the MacDowell Colony (2008). Stein’s work has been featured in Frieze and New York magazines. He lives and works in Queens, NY.
