Janet Cardiff: The Telephone Call

In a 2012 article from SFMOMA’s Open Space platform, Willa Koerner writes about visiting Janet Cardiff’s 2001 piece The Telephone Call, which leads viewers through the museum. The piece, Koerner writes, takes “an alternative tour of the museum, through stairwells you never knew existed, into a wormhole where the museum of the past and the museum of the present execute the impossible and speak directly with each other.”
