In a video from Fraenkel Gallery made in connection with the exhibition Liz Deschenes, Works 1997-2022, the artist talks about one of the highlights of the show, FPS (120), part of the series Rates (Frames Per Second), which alludes to the number of frames per second needed by the human eye to transform a still image into a moving one. Describing the piece, Deschenes notes that the work “changes depending on the decisions you make as a viewer.”
