Alec Soth on Influence, Summer Nights, and Allen Ginsberg

In connection with a commission, Alec Soth spoke with Lesley A. Martin about his engagement with Robert Adams’s Summer Nights as an early influence, and as the inspiration for the work he created for Aperture. He also talks about the larger role of influence in his development as an artist.
