In a video from Fraenkel Gallery, Jeffrey Fraenkel talks about the gallery’s long history with Bernd and Hilla Becher, dating back to their first exhibition at 49 Geary Street in 1991. Fraenkel discusses a set of typologies put together by a close friend of the artists, which combines their photographs of cooling towers, blast furnaces, water towers, and winding towers into what Fraenkel calls “a typology of typologies.”
