Katy Grannan: Model American

Grannan’s striking portraits capture her subjects’ desire to be seen. For series including Poughkeepsie Journal, Dream America, and Morning Call, Grannan began with a simple ad placed in local newspapers: “Art Models. Artist/Photographer (female) seeks people for portraits. No experience necessary. Leave msg.”
