Kota Ezawa: Sculptures

In translating iconic artworks, historical events, ​and ​cultural moments into acrylic-on-wood sculptures, ​Ezawa ​adds a degree of distance​ and abstraction to familiar images. His work questions the process by which visual representations become embedded in public consciousness, acquiring meaning through repetition and circulation.
